Paper/Song is an exploration of papermaking as a circular meditation on the nature of matter, its connection to nature and to the papermaker. Sounds were recorded during the papermaking process, translated into visual patterns and recontextualised into sonic narratives. Experiments were conducted with sound in water to create a paper song of resonant patterns. This handmade paper and a soundscape referencing its creation were exhibited as part of a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) at Southern Cross University, Lismore, Australia.
