In the spring of 2023, Steve and Jackie returned to Australia for a five-week holiday. After staying with friends near Brisbane for a week, they visited Townsville, before flying to Mt. Isa where they joined a sixteen-day birding tour which travelled overland to Adelaide via the Birdsville Track. The target was to find nine species of the notoriously difficult grasswrens, but there was much more as well, which made for an enjoyable and memorable trip. After the tour, Steve and Jackie spent their final week with friends in Adelaide and Victor Harbor. This account describes the birding tour.
