Lament for Lasher includes whimsical observations during spring 2021. Weeks when, despite his mother’s stroke, becoming a full-time carer for the matriarch and the passing of another Leeds United hero, he attempted to paint a verve filled literary landscape. Throw COVID lockdown into the serendipity sparse equation and he reports upbeat writing’s been a challenge of late. He hopes, though, this prose imparts the reader with some esprit during tough times, as it did him.
