As it says on the tin (well, the book cover!), ‘Before & Aft A Sabbatical’ is an amalgam of blogs written by the author prior to and after a seven month hiatus from blogging at the beginning of 2026. Within these vignettes are tales of camper van trips, the scattering of a loved one’s ashes, absurd ‘True or False’ quizzes, acquiring a beagle, selling the aforementioned camper van, and some idiosyncratic hooey about crows. The writer was happy to receive a review of “It’s not a shite as I’d thought t would be!” from a long term friend.
